This is a brilliant idea. It allows the RTK to be placed in an optimum position without worrying about a mains power connection. Installation is easy. I mounted to a wall, but it can also mount directly to the RTK wall mount. My only concern with this option would be how it handles high winds. Mine is fixed solidly below the roof line, so it sees full sun, but is somewhat sheletered at the same time.
