I like my new robot which I have named The Triminator. It took me some time to lay the perimeter wire. I have a small lawn and I was worried that it might not work on my small and irregularly shaped lawn. But to my surprise and joy it worked perfectly. There is one part that is quite steep, maybe 30°, and I was very worried about that, but it handles that very well. I have cliffs and there were a few accidents of it going over a cliff so I have ordered wire loop lawn edging to go across those areas and will put those lawn edge borders in before I use it again. Then if it hits one it will just move back.
The lawn edges of 40cm still have to be done by hand although maybe it is less than 40cm as I have not tried the lawn edging feature yet due to the cliffs. But even if it is 40cm (worst case scenario) and even though my lawn is small and irregular, this is a great labour-saving device and a lot of fun to watch. I am sure I will soon have an anomaly with the border in one spot sorted out and a second “memory point” set up after I have put the borders in for the robot’s safety.
I am also awaiting the electrician to install a power point under the house for easy access to power. So I am also waiting for that before using him again. But already, on the first day, The Triminator trimmed all of my lawn (except for the edges, as yet) and so I know it works well and is weatherproof, handles steep slopes, and is a powerful little beast – in fact it has a lot more power than I imagined it was going to have as I purchased it unseen, online. Very impressive!

I’m absolutely loving it.. Took a little to set up & get going but very quickly learnt the perimeter is not to be underestimated, take your time to do it. My mower is now named Logan due to my fault & it shredding the wire 3 times like Wolverine. Logan is unbelievably quiet, my lawn looks like a golf green, hearing the sound of the grass being mowed is ridiculously satisfying & it’s very entertaining to watch while he zips around creating my perfect lawn with a cold drink or morning coffee.
